Chili Cook-Off Challenge - Back by popular demand!
Sample different types of chili for lunch concocted by our talented faculty,
staff, and friends. Vote for your favorite. Will associate dean, Peg Gale,
be able to hold on to her title as "Chili Champ?" This event
is open to all SFWP graduates and their guests.

Welcome by the Dean and
presentation of Outstanding Alumnus 2002 Award.
2:00pm Dean's
Tour
Take a tour of the latest research works being conducted at the School.
Dr. Glenn Mroz will lead an informative walk through the building, stopping
at several labs for demonstrations by our researchers.

Reunion Celebration for the Class of 1952
Northern Lights Restaurant, Best Western Franklin Square Inn, Houghton
6:00pm Social hosted by the School of Forest Resources & Environmental
Science.
7:00pm Dinner No host. Entrees are between $10 and $20.
All class of '52 graduates,
those that graduated close to 1952 (classmates), and spouses are invited
to participate. Dress is informal.

of 1952
Greetings fellow
graduates of the forestry class of 1952. Plans are underway for
Michigan Tech's 2002 reunion. The theme this year is "Time
to Trek Back to Tech" and we are hoping you will plan to do
just that! The dates of this year's reunion are August 1-3, 2002
on the Michigan Tech campus.
"Old foresters
never die; they just fade away." We hope you are not ready
to fade away, but plan on attending the 50th reunion for our class.
A special dinner is planned for the forestry graduates of the class
of 1952. It will be the evening of Friday, August 2, 2002 at the
Northern Lights Restaurant, Best Western Franklin Square Inn, Houghton.
A cocktail and hors d'oeuvre social, hosted by the School of Forest
Resources & Environmental Science, will begin at 6:00 pm. Dinner
will be ordered from the menu beginning at 7:00 PM (each participant
is responsible for their dinner costs).
It will be a great
time to reminisce about our former days at Tech, as well as review
our experiences of the past 50 years. Be sure to bring your spouse
along - the more the merrier.
We would like
to collect some old photos from your Tech days. If you are willing
to share them, please label them with your name and address and
mail them to Carrie Richards (MTU-SFWP, 1400 Townsend Drive, Houghton,
MI 49931) They will be returned to you.
We look forward
to a great turnout from the school's original foresters. Your attendance
will make the reunion unique. Sure hope you can make it, as we're
sure it will be a great time for all. So set your compass or your
GPS on a course for MTU and observe the terrific growth of our Alma
Mater.
