Spring, 2008 Travel Awards
Megan Killian, a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics will receive $500 toward her poster presentation at the A.S.M.E. Summer Bioengineering Conference to be held in Marco Island, Florida in June, 2008.

Raja Payyavula,
a graduate student in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science will receive $500 toward his poster presentation at the World Congress on In Vitro Biology to be held in Tucson, Arizona in June, 2008.

Lindsey Tuominen
a graduate student in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science will receive $500 toward her poster presentation at the American Society of Plant Biologists Annual Meeting held in Storrs, Connecticut in April, 2008.


Fall 2007 Travel Award
Eric Minner, a graduate student in Biomedical Engineering received $250 toward his presentation at the BMES 2007 Annual Fall Meeting held in Los Angeles September, 2007.

Tracy Neher, a graduate student in Biological Sciences received $500 toward her presentation at the 2008 Annual ASBMB Meeting held in San Diego April, 2008.

Diego Villegas-Bermudez, a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics received $250 toward his presentation at the 2007 Summer Bioengineering Conference held in Colorado June, 2007.

Han Bing Wang, a graduate student in Chemical Engineering received $500 toward her presentation at the BMES 2007 Annual Fall Meeting held in Los Angeles Sept., 2007.

Yunxia Liu, a postdoctoral scientist in the School of Forest Resources & Environmental Science received $500 toward her presentation at the ASPB 2007 Conference held in Chicago July, 2007.

Spring 2007 Travel Awards
Benjamin Babst, a post-doctoral scientist in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science, received  $500 toward his presentation at the Gordon Research Conference:  Plant Herbivore Interactions in Ventura, California February 17-23, 2007.   Dr. Babst was also a co-author of a invited talk presented at the conference by his graduate school advisor, Dr. Colin Orians.

Tara Hansen, an undergraduate student in the Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics Department, received $500 toward travel expenses for her presentation at the ASME Summer Bioengineering Conference held in Florida in June, 2006.

Parimal Kar, a graduate student in the Physics Department, will receive $250 toward his presentation at the From Computational Biophysics to System Biology Conference held in Juelich, Germany May 2-4, 2007.

Aaron Maki, an undergraduate student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, received $500 toward travel expenses for his presentation at the 30th Annual American Society of Biomechanics Conference held in Virginia in September, 2006.

Benton Martin, an undergraduate student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, received $500 toward travel expenses for his presentation at the Biomedical Engineering Society 2006 Annual Fall Meeting held in Chicago in October, 2006.

Meghan McGee, a graduate student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, received $500 toward travel toward her presentation at the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Orthopedic Research Society held in San Diego February 10-14, 2007.

Rodney Oakley, a graduate student in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science, received $500 toward his presentation at the ASPB 2007 Conference in Chicago July 7-11, 2007.

Yanjie Wei, a graduate student in the Physics Department, will receive $500 toward his presentation at the From Computational Biophysics to System Biology Conference held in Juelich, Germany May 2-4, 2007.

 Fuyu Xu, a graduate student in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science, received $500 toward travel expenses for his poster presentation at the 2006 Annual ASPB Meeting in Boston, held in August.

Shu Chiang Yat,
a graduate student in the Department of Chemical Engineering, received $500 toward travel expenses for his podium presentation at the 2006 AIChE Meeting in San Francisco, held in November.

Renu Chandrashekaran, a graduate student in the Chemistry Department, will receive $500 toward travel expenses for her poster presentation at the 232nd ACS National Meeting in San Francisco, CA in September, 2006.

Timul Gupta, a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics will receive $500 toward travel expenses for his podium presentation at the 2006 Summer Bioengineering Conference in Amelia Island, Florida in June, 2006.
