The HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) is currently seeking
motivated college students for paid internships. Nationwide
opportunities are available within federal agencies and the corporate
sector.
*HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW*
Typically the duration of the HNIP program consists of a ten- or
fifteen-week internship.
*
**PROGRAM DETAILS*
* Round-trip air fare to intern location included.
* Housing arrangement assistance.
* Intern salaries are determined by academic level at
the time of application.
**Pay based on 40 hours per week:
Sophomore/Junior $450
Senior $480
Graduate $550
* Professional development, social, and cultural activities.
* Federal interns attend an orientation in
Washington,D.C.
**Mininum pay rate for corporate internships. Pay may vary.
*
ELIGIBILITY*
* Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
* Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
* Completion of freshman year in college before the internship begins
* Seniors graduating in May are eligible to particpate in the summer
program only
* Authorized or eligible to work by law in the United States
*KEY DATES*
*Summer 2008* Application Deadline - *February 22*
Internship dates: May 30 - Aug. 9**
*Fall 2008* Application Deadline - *June 14
* Internship dates: Aug. 21-Dec. 6
**Students attending institutions operating on a quarter calendar
participate in summer session dates June 15-August 25.
(Only students attending quarter session schools may participate on
these later program dates.)
