*Graduate Assistantship Stand Susceptibility to Southern Pine Beetle*
The Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University currently
has a half-time M.S. assistantship for a collaborative project with
the Department of Entomology & Plant Pathology. The successful
applicant will take part in a study examining factors at the tree,
stand, and landscape level affecting the susceptibility of stands to
infestation by southern pine beetle. Minimum qualifications include a
B.S. degree in forestry, entomology, or a related field, and an
interest in forest health issues. Additional information is available
