Graduate Scholarship//Silviculture

Fellow silviculturists:

I have a potential opportunity for a two year scholarship for a M.S. student in silviculture. Student should be interested in either:
1) impacts of density management on stand structure and dynamics
2) restoration of burned plantations, but could be working on a variety of specific projects related to these (or other silvicultural) topics (for a detailed overview of ongoing projects, see http://www.cof.orst.edu/cof/fs/kpuettmann/group.htm <https://exmail.oregonstate.edu/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.cof.orst.edu/cof/fs/kpuettmann/group.htm>).

The funding decision will be made by a scholarship committee and the student will have to compete against applicants from a variety of fields. Thus, academic qualifications and “future potential” need to be extremely strong.

If you know of any student in your program that would qualify, please have them contact me.

Thanks for your help and greetings from my European sabbatical
