*Environmental Soil Scientist.* Oregon State Univ. seeks an assistant
professor environmental soil scientist to be part of a dynamic soil
science community at OSU. This is a 9-month, 1.0 tenure-track
position or a 12-month position. For the 12-month position, 0.75 FTE
is tenure-track; the incumbent will be expected to generate 0.25 FTE
in sponsored grants or contracts. The decision to appoint on a
9-month or 12-month basis is at the discretion of the department head.
The successful candidate will provide leadership for undergraduate
teaching in soil science and develop a rigorous, externally funded
research program focused on the environmental consequences of soil
processes.
