The Forest Guild is seeking a graduate level student to work on forest related issues. The internship is based out of our Santa Fe, New Mexico office and will assist Forest Guild staff in a variety of ongoing community forestry, biomass and youth training initiatives. The candidate will be expected to travel to project sites and communities throughout New Mexico, and assist staff with ecological and socio-economic monitoring, trainings, youth education, and general field work. There will be additional opportunities to work on the Guilds biomass case study research project and explore the relationship between wildfire and low-capacity communities. The Guild is looking for a student with experience with forestry and/or ecology-based field work, excellent data collection and communication skills, and interest in learning and working with New Mexicos Native American and traditional Hispano peoples.
