Under the overall guidance of the Division Head, Knowledge Management
Support and Development and the direct supervision of the Communications
Officer, the intern will
* Assist in all the PR and outreach-related activities of ICIMOD
* In particular, assist in activities being undertaken to celebrate
ICIMOD's 25th Anniversary (photo exhibition, book fair, talk programmes,
and others)
* Collate news for the e-news
* Update and maintain the media database
* Perform any other PR related duties
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Information Science or
related field
* Ability to use common office and communications software
* Interest in communications in general and communication networks in
particular
* Good written and spoken English
Others:
Stipend: Rs. 10,000/month
Learning opportunity
* Public and media relations
* Compiling material for electronic newsletters, annual reports, and
others
* Organising exhibitions and bookfairs
Duration: One year starting from 1 February 2008
