We intend to recruit and fill (2) Gs- 4 temporary timber markers for the
upcoming field season at Huron Shores in Oscoda. At least one of those
positions will be a 1039 appointment. If we have enough interest and a
good candidate pool to draw from we may also select one position using the
STEP program. This STEP position, if offered, may also be offered at the
GS-3 level to increase our candidate pool.

How can candidates be considered?

Please encourage all applicants to apply for the 1039 positions on the
USAJOBS website - search for announcement number DE-OCR-0462-4-TSP.

For those candidates who believe they would qualify for the STEP program
they can e-mail me or call me at my phone number below. For more
information on the STEP program you can look at the attached site. Students
should currently be enrolled at a University with a natural resource
curriculum..

We hope to be pulling a referral list of qualified candidates for the 1039
positions as early as February 4th. Housing in a dormitory setting may be
available.
