The Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at Michigan State University wishes to hire a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct laboratory studies on interactions between aqueous organic contaminants (e.g., dioxins, pharmaceuticals, pesticides) and clay minerals. Professors Steve Boyd ( http://www.msu.edu/~boyds ), Brian Teppen, and Hui Li work together on several such projects, along with two postdocs, four graduate students, and two visiting scholars. This position offers the possibility to work in a dynamic collaborative setting with access to a variety of experimental and modeling approaches including X-ray diffraction, LC/MS/MS, molecular simulations, and FTIR spectroscopy, among others.
