GRADUATE STUDY IN NATURAL RESOURCE ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCE ECOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT, OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY


The Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management, Oklahoma State University is seeking qualified individuals to work on a research project in Natural Resource Economics . The position will be filled at the M.S. level.


RESEARCH AREA: Applicant will be expected to work during the first year on a USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station project to analyze the growth and yield data of shortleaf pine and the effects of understory vegetation on shortleaf pine basal area growth and survival.


STIPEND: A graduate research assistantship is available at $15,504/annually for a half-time appointment. Benefits include tuition waiver and student health insurance (for student only, family coverage available for an additional fee).


STARTING DATE: August 2009


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. in Forestry or Natural Resources or closely related field (preferably with strong economics background). Applicants must have a demonstrated potential for and commitment to high quality research.

The Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management is part of the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Oklahoma State University.
