5 full-time temp positions with the Huron-Manistee NF
*Temporary Employment Opportunities with Forest Service in Mio and Oscoda*

The Huron-Manistee National Forests are currently recruiting applicants
to possibly fill multiple full-time temporary positions for 2009 and
2010 to complete work funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act (ARRA). These positions may be located in Oscoda or Mio. All
positions will terminate on or before Sept. 30, 2010.
The following positions may be available:
*Forestry Aid - $10.76 to $11.74 per hour *
*Office Automation Clerk - $11.74 per hour*
*Forestry Technician (Fire Engine Operator) – $13.18 to $14.74 per hour*
*Engineering Equipment Operator Helper - $14.18 per hour*
*Engineering Equipment Operator - $19.03 per hour*
Positions may be filled as a temporary appointment up to 6 months or not
to exceed one year, which can be extended one additional year. *Apply by

NOTE: The selectee for the Engineering Equipment Operator position must
possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) at the time of
appointment. Because this position requires the selectee to obtain a
CDL, it is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Department of
Transportation (DOT)/Forest Service Alcohol and Controlled Substance
Testing Program. Applicants tentatively selected for this position will
be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use
unless they currently occupy a TDP under DOT/Forest Service Controlled
Substances Testing Program.
