Cheers- Anne *Summer Field Position* Working with Invasive Species for Dr. Andrew Storer’s Lab: Emerald Ash Borer and Sirex Wood Wasp Detection Projects *Location & Dates:*You will be working in Northern WI, Western UP, and/or the Lower Peninsula of MI
The position would begin the beginning of *May* and go until the end of *August* with possible work in the Fall.
*_The pay is competitive!_* *Responsibilities:*- Setting and Checking EAB and Sirex Detection Survey Traps and possible Data entry.
*Qualifications:* -Enthusiastic, Honest, Hardworking individual with a Positive attitude.-Able to work/tolerate being on the road for multiple days, long hours, buggy field conditions and bad weather.
-Able to work in small group/team environments. -Tree ID and Wood ID would be helpful but not necessary. *Other Details/Benefits:*-There may be some camping in National Forest Campgrounds, State Campgrounds and/or State Forest Campgrounds. -Skills used/learned: Tree ID, Wood ID, some Forest Measurements, and Compass and GPS use. -Lots of Travel so you get to see many different Federal and State Parks in MI and WI
