Student Employment Program//Ottawa Nat'l Forest//Technician]
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Wave TWO of the Forest Service hiring is upon us (WAHOOOOO!!!!)
I left 10 application for a few Student Employment program jobs on the
rectangular table outside my office. Your location: Ottawa Nat'l
Forest in sunny Watersmeet, Michigan (GO NIMRODS!!). It's about an
hour/hour and a half from here. One set of 10 is for a GS-3. That's
for folks who completed 1 year of college to date. Another set of 10 is
for a GS-4 position. That's for folks who completed 2 years of college
to date. I'll stress that ANY student (yup, that's grad students, too)
can apply.
I'm your gatekeeper. Here's the process:
1. Acquire an application and populate the data fields
2. Build a resume
3. Get a copy of your transcripts
4. Get a copy of your current course schedule
5. Items 1-4 to me by close of business 19 March.
NOTES:
- Chris not in his office? Slide all materials under the door.
- Taking down time over spring break? Look at the calendar closely, you'll have a few days to get this to me upon your return--but not many.
- All out of applications when you get to the rectangular table outside
my office? Tell Chris and he'll get you another copy.
I know I'll enjoy my spring break right here in the U.P. where the warm water laps at the shores (about 3,000 miles away).
