In the next few weeks the Southern Research Station’s Center for

Research Hydrologist. The position will be located in Thompson Hall of
Mississippi State University’s School of Forestry in Starkville,
Mississippi. The incumbent’s official duty station will be Starkville, MS.
The Center for Bottomland Hardwoods Research consists of 17 permanent

a better understanding of the regional water balance and how
hydrologic processes will affect water quantity and quality, and
affect afforestation efforts in the Lower Mississippi Alluvial
Valley; and

as Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) and Best Management Practices
for use in the ecologically sound and economically viable
management of afforested and natural bottomland forestland.
