Fwd: Federal Job Hiring at the SAF convention - update
Howdy-
Some of you may know the President of the Society of American Foresters is a Michigan Tech alum (and a former Michigan state forester). He wanted you to receive the note posted below.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: We took 5 students out to the SAF conference last year in Reno and 4 walked away with jobs offers. My sense was they walked away with a job offer after a 10 minute interview. The School will probably fund a few of you to attend this meeting. For the rest of you please realize a ticket to sunny Orlando is less than $400 and this may be the best investment you'll ever make. Strongly (I repeat: STRONGLY) consider attending this conference if you are close to graduating.
Chris
SAF Leadership:
If you are in contact with students/recent graduates looking for jobs - on the spot hiring will be conducted at the SAF convention in Orlando, FL that begins Sept. 30, 2009. Interested candidates can check this website for job opportunities. Jobs won't be posted until after Sept. 4, but there's basic information on the opportunities available now.
