Full-time forester - North Central WI

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. is a full service Forestry and 
Appraisal company located in North Central Wisconsin.

We are currently looking to fill One (1) full-time temporary forester 
positions. This position will have a guarantee of six months employment 
with potential for full-time permanent employment following this period. 
The ideal candidate would meet the following criteria. Bachelor of 
Science Degree in Forestry Desire to develop a career as a professional 
forester in a fast-paced and diverse consulting business Experienced in 
Lake States forest inventory practices

Experienced in Lake States forest management and harvesting techniques 
Ability to work independently in varied settings both in the field and 
with clients and other professionals Superior written and oral 
communication skills Competent with Microsoft Office software including 
Word, Excel, and Access Experience with GPS data collecting and 
processing Experience with ESRI ArcView 9.x GIS software and GIS mapping 
and data collection principles Current valid drivers license with 
personal vehicle suitable for forestry work (mileage is reimbursed) 
Interest in involvement in professional organizations to further 
education and develop working relationships with other professional 
foresters

Following the successful completion of a probationary period, full-time 
employees receive a full benefit package including health insurance, 
vacation, paid holidays, 401K, and profit sharing.
The positions will be filled as soon as possible with a start date of 
early September, 2009.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary duties will include working with staff foresters conducting 
forest inventory and timber sale set-up work in Northern Wisconsin.
