Univ. of MN, 4 fellow positions for NorthStar Consortium
POSITION: The Initiative for Sustainable Enterprise (iSE), a program of the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment, is searching for suitable candidates to fill up to four fellow positions to support the work of the newly formed NorthStar Consortium. This position is a one-year (with opportunity for renewal), 100 percent time appointment at a rank commensurate with experience. Successful candidates will be expected to manage cutting-edge, stakeholder-driven research projects developed through the NorthStar Consortium, a unique collaborative of corporate, nonprofit, government and university participants. The fellows will work in conjunction with IonE/iSE mentors who will determine the research and training agenda. Responsibilities generally involve participation in the design, implementation and evaluation of research projects. Appointees will also participate in the preparation and presentation of data; and author, co-author or collaborate on reports, confere
nce papers, publications and other project outputs. Significant leadership development training will also be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced degree (Ph.D., J.D., or other graduate degree, in combination with significant related experience) in nearly any disciplinary focus will be considered. A strong background in industrial ecology, energy/environmental policy, corporate sustainability, environmental sociology, environmental systems analytics (LCA, SD, FCA, etc.), environmental sciences or engineering, or environmental law is required. Advanced degrees must be obtained by the date of appointment. Successful candidates will have a strong track record of accomplishments and productive scientific and/or applied training, as well as demonstrated experience within an interdisciplinary setting.
