- be a son or daughter of an active or retired U.S. Forest Service employee;

- have been accepted into or is currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies at an
accredited college or university in natural resource conservation. Examples include forestry,
wildlife management, fisheries, environmental history, and natural resource policy; and,

- be in good standing academically
