Log Scaler- Lewiston, Michigan 
Job Description 

Perform all duties in the log yard in a safe manner following all log yard safety regulations. 
Accurately grade and scale all hardwood logs accepted at the Lewiston facility. 
Maintain scale tickets for vendors to insure accurate and timely payment for logs. 
Maintain log yard inventory by species and deck to insure proper sawing schedules. 
Operate all log yard machinery used in the scaling and decking of logs. 
Sort and sell certain logs according to specifications desired by customers. 
Work in a team environment under the direction of the log yard manager to accomplish the efficient handling of incoming logs.
