Thanks for visiting our website.
On the various pages you will see our programs extend across the U.S. and around the world. Yet we are based in a small, friendly community where you will be on a first-name basis with faculty and staff.
If you pursue a degree in the School, you will be a professional when you leave. From the day you come to Michigan Tech to the day you leave, we promise challenging coursework and a great environment in which to learn. We will do our part to guide you through your education, and you will learn more than you thought possible. Most importantly, you will develop lifelong skills that will help you in your career to understand how to work with nature and to provide what you and other people want from the natural world. You will also develop friendships and a professional network with students, faculty and staff that will last a lifetime.
We are really happy that you are taking the time to evaluate the School of Forest Resources & Environmental Science at Michigan Tech as a possible place to continue your education, and begin your natural resources career.
Your interest in natural resources is of great interest to us. Understanding the ecology and economics of our forests and natural areas is at the base of policies that govern the way our nation and world use forests. Whether we want to preserve wildlands or manage for clean water, recreation and wood products, we need to understand how complex ecosystems work from the molecular level, to the global level. This is what natural resource education is all about at Michigan Tech.
Best of luck in finding the right program for you. We hope that Michigan Tech is your top choice for your education. |
