Our lab is located in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science at Michigan Technological University.

Created in 1998, CBAE concetrates research into conservation biology, avian ecology and reproduction, cascading effects, and island ecology.

Some of our research includes:

  • The Role of Birds as Mechanisms of Native Forest Establishment in Hawaii.
  • Renewable Energy from Forest and Grassland Resources.
  • Ecological benefits of lakeshore restoration for breeding birds.
