Thursday, January 19, 5 p.m., Meeting , Ballroom A2.

Saturday, January 21, noon to 4 p.m., Free Ski Day for Michigan Tech students.

Sunday, March 4, noon to 3, Glide'n'Gorge, an easy 6km classic ski as the Maasto Hiihto trails. Food served along the way. More details as they become available.

Saturday, March 10, The 32nd Annual Great Bear Chase in Calumet Michigan. Your choice of 5 races:

50km Classic
50km Freestyle
26km Classic
26km Freestyle
14km Freestyle

Registration is only $55 ($25 for the 14 km) if you register by February 8.

If you want to join the ski club the annual dues are $10. You can join by going to the club's wax room (Room #4 accessed via the Athlete's Entrance to the wax building at Tech Trails) whenever the wax room is open. Correct change is appreciated.

Your chance to join others who ski, or would like to ski.

We have ....

* lessons for beginners.

* a kilometer klub (12K per week gets your name in the hat for the weekly prize),

* discounted trail passes at local ski areas (student members only)

* free day use of equipment at Tech Trails for members. We have both skate and classic skis. We also have snowshoes.

* skiing with others who like MTU's great snow!

* training / racing team.

* storage for members' skis

* our own room in the wax building with scheduled hours. We have irons, benches and wax so you can wax your own skis.

* community service projects working with Adult Ski Lessons and work days at local ski trails. Fall 2010 we worked at Maasto and Swedetown. Fall 2011 we worked at Maasto.

 

$10 for an annual membership. Open to students and community members. Correct change is appreciated.
