Cross-Country Ski Lessons

for Beginner, Novice, and Intermediate Skiers: Ages 14 and Older.

Are you interested in learning how to cross-country ski? The MTU Nordic Ski Club offers reasonably priced lessons in both skating and classic techniques at the beginner, novice, and intermediate levels. Our instructors have skied and raced with strong high school programs and several instructors were junior national or collegiate racers.

Our Fourth Year of Instruction.

Most recent update: February 4, 2008.

GENERAL INFORMATION

All lessons are one hour long and have a minimum of three skiers and a maximum of five skiers. Don't bring along a friend at the last minute without the instructor's prior approval. Unless otherwise stated all lessons are at Michigan Tech Trails. You must have a ski pass to ski at Tech Trails. Meet at the wax building, athlete's entrance. If we don't have three skiers in the class we will move lessons back one week and attempt to fill the class. If the class does not fill, you (whether it is one or two skiers) may also take the class as private instruction which is $25/one-hour lesson (two people = $12.50 each).

To register for a lesson, contact the instructor directly. The easiest contact method for each instructor is listed first.

Lessons are scheduled with one week between lessons. We hope participants will ski at least once between lessons. Lessons are taught in sequence so you should plan on attending all lessons.

Checks should be made out to the "MTU Nordic Ski Club".

Instructors can also give private lessons at $25/hour. Contact instructors directly for private lessons.

When one lesson fills we add a new lesson of the same type.
