Otter River Cabin
Donated to Michigan Tech by the Fisheries Division of the Michigan Department of Conservation in 1954, this cabin was originally part of a Grayling fish hatchery located on the Otter River in Houghton County. The MTU-SAF Chapter maintains the Cabin for use by the club and other interested people.

Christmas Tree Sale
Starting in November, locals can preorder many species and sizes of Christmas trees. The trees are bought from local growers and are handed out in early to mid December.
Yard work is done throughout the year. Some of the work done in the past includes: cleaning up gardens, raking lawns, waxing boats, and pulling out docks.
Adopt-A-Highway In the Spring of 1998, the Chapter adopted a section of highway US 26 near the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula, north of Eagle Harbor. In the spring and fall, the club heads north to clean up the two miles of highway just before Brockway Mountain Drive. Our participation in this helps to keep the Keweenaw roadways clean.
Wood Cut Woodcut is a year around event. The forestry club has a parcel of land, located on Pilgrim Road. Here, we collect, cut, split, stack and sell to anyone who is interested. This helps raise funds for the our many activities and projects.
